Our long-serving carers are what gives Halland House its unique, homely feel. We don’t consider our staff and residents as two separate entities, we’re a strong family unit working together to make sure everyone has a fulfilling and satisfying life.
We support and motivate our team to achieve their career goals and encourage them to build strong friendships with residents and daycare guests. As a result, they go above and beyond to meet the needs of everyone in their care.
join usStaff are trained on-site and we use the latest technology to achieve training goals and help staff work towards NVQs. Every wing of the house has its own dedicated leadership team who are matched to the most compatible group of residents.
Here are some of the faces you’ll see around Halland House.
Hi, I’m Amina, and I’ve been living and breathing the care world for over many years! I started out as a support worker, working with amazing young adults with learning disabilities and autism. Through sheer determination (and a whole lot of love for what I do), I’ve climbed the ladder to become a Registered Manager. I’m all about promoting independence, planning fun and meaningful activities, and making sure every day is full of smiles. Whether it’s organizing trips or helping residents achieve their goals, I’m passionate about creating a vibrant, supportive space where everyone can thrive.
Hey there, I’m Sam! I jumped into the world of care at 17 and never looked back. I started in nursing with physical disabilities and have been expanding my skills to include learning disabilities too. From support worker to Deputy Manager, my journey has been all about building connections and creating joy. I love that our work is so person-centred. It’s all about putting smiles on residents’ faces (especially after fun activities!). Around here, we’re more than just a team, we’re like family. And honestly, there’s nothing better than being part of a place where everyone feels at home.
