1. Call and speak to our team
  2. Arrange a visit to see the house and meet our staff and residents
  3. Contact your local learning disability team
  4. Your team will carry out the necessary assessments and arrange a home visit from a social worker
  5. We will conduct a final assessment to check the suitability of the match and make sure old and new residents will get along well
  6. We invite the new resident to start a trial stay for as long as they need to confirm we’re the right home for them
  7. After a successful trial, we’ll welcome our new full-time resident

For residential care, it’s important to make sure that everyone living at Halland House will get along and have a good quality of life. If it’s not the right time, we may be able to offer places on our waiting list, and non-residents are always welcome to join our daycare service or come along on trips or holidays.
